Just south of Cupar, Ceres is a quiet village with a long history. Ceres men fought with Wallace at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. The village's Highland Games are the oldest in Scotland, and are thought to date from the post-Bannockburn party! The Fife Fok Museum is dedicated to explaining the history of rural Fife through agriculatural and social artefacts. It's a great way to spend some time! |
