"Our daughter married a Scot and lives in Scotland. Scotland has become our second home, so when we retire we would like to make it our first one, but where to stay?. Looking around on the internet I discovered this town in Fife called Cupar, which -with the help of your web site - seemed to have everything we were looking for. At last this September I was able to sample the real thing - and I was not disapponted! I can't wait to retire now and for 'your town' to become 'my town' (and I suspect this web site will come in handy even then)"

"I spent quite some time in Cupar several years ago. Loved it then and can not wait to go back some day. After travelling through many countries, I still think Cupar is one of my favorite towns, the Burnside Inn was fabulous and the staff at the hospital really looked after me. Scotland is a fantastic and beautiful country and Cupar does it proud!"

"I have to agree with everyone, Cupar is a lovely little town. I also went into Femme Fatale,s quaint little close and to my horror found it wan not there, but relief, its only moved to the high street! Still feel like you are in heaven and i hope i still get there after lying to my husband and tellenig him a little white lie about the price, keep getting the fantastic stock girls! Will be back."

"Cupar is an amazing place. You can go to dinner in one of the 14 take aways(indians, chippies, fish and chips) then go for a drink to wash it down in one of its 12 pups. Then because youve eaten so much youre so fat that all your clothes dont fit you any more and youll have to to shop in its 10 charity shops. But then if you get bored of being fat you can go for a walk in on of its 5 parks. plus its high school bell baxter has had all sorts of famous people like the proclaimers and archie out of the singing kettle!"

"I am researching my maternal family tree. We come from Kirkcaldy mainly but I keep coming across persons and events in Cupar. My grandmother was Mary Philp Wellcoat so I am looking into both names and their history. It was very interesting to see the web-site about the town. . Keep adding the info as I am sure I will visit the town one day instead of the web-site and it will be like coming home!"

Cupar Golf Club was witness to both my atrocious playing and my young sons speediest sledging experience to date! Close to St Andrews and the sea - A jaunty hop across the Tay to Dundee - and Edinburgh within the hour! Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone!"
